Words on Stage
Best of Spoken Word feat. Matto Kämpf, Lara Stoll, Simon Chen, Helene Bockhorst, Interrobang
The evening brings together a selection of the best pop poets and performers in the German-speaking world.
Matto Kämpf
Theater maker, filmmaker, author and actor. His specialty are curious stories from real life. The Bernese jack-of-all-trades is well-known from radio and television (e.g. Experiment Schneuwly) and is notorious for his wonderfully bizarre humor.
Lara Stoll
Winner of the German Cabaret Prize 2019 and multiple Swiss and European champion in poetry slam. The poetry punk from Thurgau foams and snorts, speaks gibberish and formulates razor-sharp sentences.
Simon Chen
Raised on the language border in Fribourg, he now explores the boundaries of language and juggles with the letters that mean the world. He is considered a brilliant spoken word poet and cabaret artist - witty, funny and at times bitingly wicked.
Helene Bockhorst
German cabaret artist and author, was the first woman to win the Hamburg Comedy Pokal in 2018. Her slam video Unfreiwillige Jungfräulichkeit became a viral hit on Facebook and YouTube with several million clicks.
Interrobang
Two-time Swiss champions and two-time German-speaking champions in team poetry slam. Virtuosic, Interrobang (aka Valerio Moser and Manuel Diener) twirl words and clichés, combining powerful performance with clever humor.
The well-known TV presenter, beatboxer and rapper Knackeboul will lead through the evening.
